  • Dealers and builders coming soon

Sounds like Cummins will be releasing a list of dealers and builders soon. More builds to come from some great shops around the country I'm sure.
Tell your friends to join and post their builds!!

Did that list come out? I just retired and need to cut my fuel prices and need something to do!

R2.8 is a great start to a lot of projects. What are looking for from the vehicle? I'm not a builder, just a DIY type mentality.

I was thinking of getting rid of my 01 4Runner and go back to another Jeep. Either TJ or Jk and do a r2.8. I always thought a 04 Jeep LJ unlimited if I could find one with a decent frame would be a good candidate though I’d settle for another TJ wrangler also.

The LJ would be great. I just happened on to some axles and tires that would go nicely with my shop r2.8. I was thinking about a TJ personally.
or something random.... old Toyota camper? Wagoneer? Not sure tho

The TJ and the R2.8 are great together. LJ would obviously be great too and might give you a couple additional transmission options with the slightly larger wheelbase. I personally love the simplicity of the TJ/YJ/LJ and parts are numerous to configure exactly how you want.

I still kind of personally prefer the TJ to the LJ, but it's a small difference IMO. The only negative to these Jeeps IMO is the interior noise. I have started adding some additional sound insulation, but the mud tires are pretty loud. Also with doors removed it pretty much negates most of you sound insulation, so I've been debating how far I really want to go in that department.
